Housewives of Macon Co :)

At Kristin and Jeff's wedding they had a very creative idea to have a photo booth for the guests. Everyone was welcome to step in and pose with the Murphy family. It was so cute we had to try it out. This is what we called the housewives of Macon Co.

Zuiderveen Farm

Our visit over to the "Zuiderveen farm" was to welcome the new calf Samantha. She was born a few days before. We were unable to get close enough to get a good picture. This is a picture of Cody and Anika feeding the mamma cow. This is so far out of our box that we had to go check it out. The girls enjoyed seeing the calf and getting close to the cows as much as a "city minded" girl could. I really didn't think Scott and I could produce farm girls. We just don't have that in us. Maybe some cowboy in the very far future will change that thinking. :)

The other cows on the farm are Summit, Supreme, Sam and Samantha. I see a pattern here.

Mother's day weekend

Mother's day weekend was filled with celebration. We celebrated the Mother's in our lives and the joining of Kristin and Jeff in marriage. It was a memorable weekend. Katelyn and Nicole were able to be guests at the wedding. This wedding was the first one they have been to that they were not flower girls. I really enjoyed watching them take in all the special moments that take place. Katelyn danced it up with mommy and other guests which made it a fun time.

Our Mother's Day Sunday was spent at the lake working on projects to help Lois get ready for the summer season. Being at the lake on the boat or working on projects makes it a great day no matter what. We love the Lake!

Happy Valentine's day~2011 "I heart you"

My sister-in-law asked to come over and play with my kids. She wants to use them as her guinea pigs for photography. Am I lucky or what? Katelyn and Nicole willingly volunteered to help. As you can see they had fun and I love the pictures to cherish forever! Thank you!

Breckenridge, CO 2011~ Family time

This was our ride from the Denver Airport to Breckenridge.
Brett, Brittany, Nicole and Katelyn! All smiles on this ride. Except for the sad moment when we realized that Kate's suit case never made it to Denver. That is a post for itself for a later date.
There was a bowling alley in the hotel for the guests to use. We used it plenty and had a great time. Becky is a great bowler. We never knew that about her. I love going on vacation and learning things about eachother.
Kate had a new technique everytime.
Nicole was just praying it makes it to the pins. :)
Daddy showing off his skills. He is so good at eveything it makes it tough to compeat with.

It was game time! The Auburn National Championship game was on while we were on vacation, it could not get any better.
Time to gear up for the first day. Kate is wearing all new stuff we spent the day before shopping for in town.

The murphys suggested we go dog sledding. It was the best idea and we all enjoyed it so much.
Katelyn and Nicole are in control of the dogs.

Nicole's favorite thing was to ski in the trees. Just after this photo was taken there was a little boy who came through and slammed into a tree. It was scary. I over heard the father tell his son to hit a person not a tree if he losses control. I was thinking just not my little person please. He was ok when we left them.
It was an amazing vacation together as a family. We love adventures together and hope to instill that in our girls. I believe that we have up'd our family coolness factor now by all being skiiers.
